World Champion Johannes Vetter already teaches fear to the competition at the end of February. At a competition during his training camp in Potchefstroom the Offenburger threw the javelin on Tuesday evening at 91.22 meters. Not one javelin thrower has ever thrown a javelin in February.
91.22 meters are the third best result in the javelin career so far by Johannes Vetter (LG Offenburg). A video of this impressive throw has the 24-year-old published on his Instagram channel.
Only the four-time European champion Steve Backley has thrown in the history of the javelin earlier than the German record holder (94.44 m): On January 25, 1992, a litter of the British in Auckland (New Zealand) with 91.46 meters measured.
The Potsdamer Bernhard Seifert entered the season in the same competition as Vetter in Potchefstroom with 81.45 meters.
