JOHANNES VETTER 88.74M – FIRST DIAMOND LEAGUE VICTORY!

Big night for JoJo Vetter and his Offenburg Team! The first Diamond League victory just happened in the ‘City of Ligths’!  Right for the first throw Johannes got the lead that was kept to the end!

A first attempt at 88.74m and the competition folded! German Johannes Vetter pulled off an excellent first throw in the javelin competition at the MEETING de PARIS and his adversaries never managed to better his performance. He finally took the win with a 72cm lead over Czech Jakub Vadlejch, who equalled his personal best (88.02m).

It was a special night for for Neeraj Chopra who entered DL for the first time. Olympic Champion Thomas Röhler also had a good series till the last throw, finished third with 87.18m.
